Grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon and jalapeño poppers
Grilled jalapeno peppers with cheese (jalapeno poppers) are a classic American and Mexican beer snack. They are often served in bars and are a must at parties.
It tastes great as an appetizer. The spiciness is not scalding, and delicately warms, the more so that the cheese, in addition to adding flavor levels the excessive spiciness. Roasted slices of bacon and croutons crunch nicely and add their own flavor to the dish.
These peppers are best eaten hot, right from the heat. However, I had a great pleasure to eat them cold, and the taste and texture of the dish were very interesting and quite enjoyable.
And, as a tip, it’s best to make jalapeno poppers in large quantities at once, especially if you’re throwing a party.

Prepare baked jalapeño peppers with cheese and bacon.
You can use other hot peppers instead of jalapenos, but jalapenos are the best. They have thick and fleshy walls, so you can fully experience the taste of the pepper. And the spiciness of the pepper is just right.
Warm up a frying pan and put bacon strips on it.
Fry the bacon until crispy.
Put the strips on paper towels to absorb excess fat.
Cut the peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds with a teaspoon. Do not cut the stalks. Finely chop garlic, parsley and green onions.
Cut the cooled bacon into small pieces.
In a small bowl, mix both cheeses and chopped greens.
In addition to cream cheese and feta, you can add other cheeses. Grated cheddar works very well, to which you can add grated parmesan.
The more different types of cheese, the more delicious.
Thoroughly mix the cheese and herbs.
Fill half of the peppers with the cheese mixture and put them on a baking tray covered with baking paper.
Sprinkle slices of bacon and bread crumbs on top.
Crumbs are obtained by grating a couple of slices of white bread on a grater.
Put the tray with the peppers in a preheated 200°C oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts and the peppers slightly change color.
That’s it, baked jalapenos with cheese and bacon are ready. Arrange the peppers on a platter, pour the beer into glasses and invite everyone to the table.
